CAST ALL YOUR BURDENS ON JESUS BECAUSE HE CARES FOR YOU! 1 Peter 5:7

Are you a dog lover? To help assess your answer, perhaps the following questions will help determine your conclusion:

a.) You are known to post more pictures of your dog than family members

b.) You design your plans around your dog

c.) You are known to share your bed with your dog, no matter his/her size

d.) You cry saying good-bye to your dog when leaving for vacation and feel guilty leaving the dog behind

e.) You own a pet camera and check on your dog numerous time throughout the day while you are at work

LOVE IS EVERYTHING WE NEED... (but electricity is very helpful!)

What a crazy week this has been! Monday was such a joyous day as students returned into the building and the 2022/2023 school year officially began! As the teachers were waving “good-bye” during the concluding dismissal process on that very first day, never did we expect that it would be so long before we would have the ability to reunite due to the residual effects of Monday night’s intense storm! As I explained to one parent, not being able to return to school was like getting stuck at the top of the first hill of a very exciting roller coaster.

WE'RE ON OUR WAY!

“Go and make disciples of all nations”. Matthew 28:18

Dear Parents,

What an incredible school year God gave us!

Thank you for your tremendous love, encouragement, and support that you also showered upon us this school year! Your partnership is deeply appreciated and treasured.

CONGRATULATIONS CLASS OF 2018/2022!

“Train up a child in the way he should go: and when he is old, he will not depart from it.” Proverbs 22:6

It started with a very sweet email request from the St. Matthew graduating class of 2018 who are now graduating from high school, asking if they all brought their high school caps and gowns from their various high schools, could they get a photo with the staff?

What evolved was endearing conversations and the reminiscing of special memories from a wonderful group of alumni.

HEAVEN IS LIKE... A HOMERUN!

“And God shall wipe away all tears from their eyes; and there shall be no more death, neither sorrow, nor crying, neither shall there be any more pain; for the former things are passed away.”
Rev. 21:4

Over my 26 years of serving as an administrator, each day has been filled with many precious memories and stories. However, this particular story remains one of my absolute favorites:

We Don't Know What Each Day Will Hold, But We Know Who Holds the Day!

“Trust in the Lord with your whole heart, and lean not on your own understanding. And in all of your ways acknowledge Him, and He will make your paths straight." Proverbs 3: 5 & 6

A conversation with my daughter a few weeks ago began with the opening statement of “I told everyone not to tell you so I could surprise you, but I just know that I’m going to blow the surprise myself, so I’m just letting you know right now that I’m coming home for Mother’s Day.”

Happy Mother's Day

"A woman who respects the Lord should be praised." Proverbs 31:30

One thing that I enjoy is hearing and telling a good story! As a principal, I can tell you that my days are filled with treasured moments where the students of our school say or do things that are absolutely priceless. However, I also have the privilege of hearing hilarious stories from parents regarding situations that occur in the home environment as well.
