Our school was formed in 1957 by a passionate group of congregational members who saw the need for and importance of Christian education. Beginning solely with a small Kindergarten class that met in the original church building on Nicolet Street in downtown Walled Lake, our school has since blossomed to serve students from Preschool 3 through Eighth Grade in its current location. For over fifty years, Jesus has been the focus and foundation of the quality education provided to students at St. Matthew Lutheran School.
