"For God so loved the world, that He gave His one and only Son, that whoever believes in Him shall not perish but have eternal life." John 3:16
“For unto us a child is born, unto us a Son is given and the government will be on His shoulders. And He will be called Wonderful Counselor, Mighty God, Everlasting Father, Prince of Peace.” Isaiah 9:6
It was a college freshman’s worst nightmare; this story always comes to my mind as we approach the upcoming “Final Exam Week” for many colleges.
“The Word became flesh and made His dwelling among us. We have seen His glory, the glory of the One and Only, who came from the Father, full of grace and truth.” John 1:14

If you are a Detroit Lions fan, I am sure that you spent most of last Monday saying to your friends and acquaintances, “WHAT A GAME!” Rallying from a 16 point deficit at halftime, the Lions tied the game during the second half, and with only four seconds left, Kicker Jake Bates won the game by kicking a 52 yard field goal! However, the most endearing highlight of this game occurred during his post game interview. When asked about his amazing kick, he stated, "I think it just shows how good the Lord is. He’s so faithful.
“The King will reply, ‘Truly I tell you, whatever you did for one of the least of these brothers and sisters of Mine, you did for Me." Matthew 25:40
This fall, the United States experienced two catastrophic hurricanes that left paths of horrific destruction. Officials are still calculating the damage from the two storms, but it’s estimated final costs could escalate to billions of dollars. Although hurricane restoration is no longer current front page news, the devastation is still extremely prevalent, and many families and children are still in desperate need.
Nothing gets your attention more than someone calling your name!
When I was younger and I heard “Susan Elizabeth McCreadie”… I knew my mother was not happy with me! When I am at Target and I hear “Mrs. Palka?”…I know that someone has recognized me. And last Sunday, as I participated in the Detroit Free Press Half Marathon as a member of Team World Vision, and heard “Go Sue”, “You can do this Sue”, “You’ve got this, Sue”, I knew that someone was supporting and encouraging me!
"Therefore encourage one another and build each other up." 1 Thessalonians 5:11
If I would ask you who your favorite Christian artist is, how would you answer? Lauren Daigle, Toby Mac, Brandon Lake, Matthew West, or one of the other hundreds of possibilities?
