What a crazy week this has been! Monday was such a joyous day as students returned into the building and the 2022/2023 school year officially began! As the teachers were waving “good-bye” during the concluding dismissal process on that very first day, never did we expect that it would be so long before we would have the ability to reunite due to the residual effects of Monday night’s intense storm! As I explained to one parent, not being able to return to school was like getting stuck at the top of the first hill of a very exciting roller coaster. You see the track and you’re ready for the exhilarating journey to begin, yet you’re on pause!
However, we are extremely grateful that all of our school families are safe, and we look forward to being back together once everything is repaired!
Each year, our sixth grade class has the responsibility to select the theme and an associated song for the upcoming school year, as well as design a logo that helps serve as a memorable visual for this theme. This year, our theme is “Love Is Everything We Need”, supported by the song of the same title and performed by the Christian group, “Unspoken”. The message of this song is that despite our differences, God commands us in Scripture to love one another. When we demonstrate love, the world knows that we are His children. In addition, when we love God first and others second, everything else falls into its proper perspective.
We look forward to a fantastic year filled with opportunities to share God’s love with others!
