PARENT/TEACHER CONFERENCES NEXT WEEK!

"For where two or three are gathered together in my name, there am I in the midst of them."  Matthew 18:20

Many years ago, one of our former first grade teachers was teaching a unit on “Community Helpers”. Each day, a different community helper would come into the classroom and give a small presentation regarding their job duties and how they assisted the community. Preparing her class for the next day’s guest speaker, she enthusiastically informed her class that the next guest community helper was going to be a veterinarian.

Loud enough for the teacher to hear, one little boy leaned over and asked his friend, “What's a veterinarian?” to which his friend replied, “I’m not sure but I think they don’t eat meat!”

Obviously, clear communication is critical component of productive conversations!

For that reason, we find Parent/Teacher conferences to be such a blessing as we discuss the academic growth of our students. As a result, next week, St. Matthew Lutheran School will host Parent/Teacher conferences, where our staff will have the opportunity to share a wealth of information and insights regarding your child's unique and God-given talents.

This year, conferences will be held on Wednesday, November 1st, from 5:00 - 8:00 p.m. and on Thursday, November 2nd, from 1:00 - 6:00 p.m. Parents need to sign up online for a conference time and can do so by clicking HERE. Please sign up for your conference time as soon as possible and before Tuesday, October 31st. Upper Grade parents are asked to only sign up for their child's homeroom teacher, unless you feel there is an issue that needs to be discussed with other teachers.

We pray that the Lord will bless each of these conferences and allow them to be an effective avenue of communication in which valuable insights will be gained.

In Jesus' Love,

Mrs. Palka
